Foody Friday

I really like french toast but hate soggy bread. This recipe has never turned out soggy and is delicious. I usually only make it in the colder months since it is so heavy. But it is super easy and can be done the day before too-good for when you have guests.

FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE
1 lb. white bread-torn into pieces
6 lightly beaten eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. syrup
1 tsp. salt
1 T vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
*additional cup or so of syrup

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Layer torn bread in greased 9x13 pan.
3. Pour liquid mixture over bread.
4. Drizzle another cup of syrup over top.
5. Bake for 35-45 min. or until not soggy.

Serve warm w/additional syrup. Makes 12 servings.

So yummy! Reheats well too!
ENJOY!
