Happy Birthday Pete!

As promised here is an update from the non-diaper set at the Buurstra household. Pete turns 28 tomorrow so we went out for date night and celebratory Coldstone last night. We saw The Bourne Ultimatum which was great except for the fact that the cinematography made me nauseous! Without giving away too much info, the movie tied up loose ends from the past two films and left some things open to interpretation which either means we'll be in for a 4th Bourne movie or we have to develop our own endings. I think a 4th installment would be a weak one at best but I'd watch it nonetheless!

The Coldstone was, as always, delicious. As we sat in the car chowing down, cuz it was chilly last night-fall is in the air...yay! we were reminiscing about a previous lifetime experience of going to Celebration for a movie and getting Coldstone with the Telman's and the Black's. We recalled that Ryan Telman got the worst possible ice cream combination in human history and it went something like this: mint chocolate chip ice cream with pineapple and snickers. I'm quite sure that combo will never make it on the signature list at Coldstone but hey, he is more adventurous than any of us!

We are venturing out today for our second free ice cream from Coldstone bc if you sign up on their website you can get free ice cream on your birthday. And since we are lucky enough to have more than one Coldstone location in town you can change the location of your "favorite" store and print out another coupon. We may either really love ice cream or be extremely dutch-draw your own conclusions here. But as I like to say, we are frugal...hey-when you have a baby you have to make choices...$25 ice cream or a college fund...you do the math!!

Tomorrow will be more celebrating at Patti and Jack's...one of the last times in their house as it sold and they will be moving soon. I'm guessing we'll be loaded up with more of Pete's treasures from his youth as we leave tomorrow. Thanks guys!! :) What is Pete wishing as he blows out his candles on his birthday pie?
