Grayson spent Friday afternoon and night at Grandma and Grandpa's and, as always, had a blast. We picked him up Saturday at noon, and not a second too soon as Grandpa was letting him drive the tractor! Kid can't walk, but he can drive. Go figure.
We rushed home to set up the Sand n' Water table and the playhouse we picked up for a steal from a garage sale and Craig's List respectively. As the pictures depict, both Daddy and Grayson had a BLAST playing with both new finds. They both fit nicely on our little patio out back. Recycled Little Tykes toys are simply fab.
Sunday we were going to beach it but Grayson was feeling a bit under the weather so we stuck close to home. Played outside, again with his new stuff, and then ventured to the "spray park" as Pete likes to call it up on the NE side. Grayson doesn't quite get the concept of playing in the water fountains, at one point he was waist-deep in the MUD PUDDLE just adjacent to the actual play area. (There is grass surronding the fountain area that subsequently turns into marshy grassy muddy play area for little boys.) But the water was semi-clean and he was happy as a clam...what could we do? Either let him play there or chase him out every two seconds. Guess which option we went with?! I forgot my camera unfortunately but I forsee many more photo ops in the mud puddle at the spray park before the summer is up.
